StreamWatch & James River Association Seek Volunteers for Summer Bacteria Monitoring Program

FreeThis summer StreamWatch and James River Association will be monitoring bacteria levels weekly in the Rivanna at Riverview Park and at Crofton. Water quality data will be posted every Friday online at the James River Watch website for people to use to plan their weekend outings on the Rivanna. Volunteers are needed in the Charlottesville and Fluvanna area to collect and analyze water samples. Two separate training sessions will be provided (free!): May 4th at the Lewis and Clark Exploratory Center at 5:30 PM and May 13th at the Fluvanna County Library at 5:30 PM.
